Lucifer, the third arch-angel, was created by God to serve Him and to give Him glory in the realm of the material creation. He did not, however, remain in this position, but rebelled against God and became the arch-enemy of God who has tried to destroy all that God has attempted to do with his creation.

Satan became the master deceiver to mankind and is still doing so to this very day.

He has set about since then to destroy the joy and peace that men could have by placing their faith in the promises of God. He does so by giving them lies and deceits that are placed before mankind that seem good but are destructive to the lives of those who listen to him.
