Welcome to The Reminder, a dynamic website featuring the writings of elder Edward Byrd. The printed version of The Reminder is a Landmark Baptist monthly periodical which has been in circulation for over 40 years; being published by the same editor, pastor Edward Byrd.

Elder Byrd has been in the gospel ministry for over 60 years and has pastored Landmark Baptist churches in a number of states. He thoroughly enjoys writing about God, the Bible and the gospel of the kingdom! In addition to The Reminder, brother Byrd has authored a variety of Christian books of which are offered on this site for very nominal prices!

The goal of the author is to encourage people everywhere, both young and elderly alike, to seek the Lord while He may be found, and to begin searching the Scriptures to discover the true Christ and His coming kingdom!

A Writing Ministry of more than 60 Years
"The Burden of A Long Ministry" would best express the underlying theme of pastor Byrd's books. His burden through the more than 60 years of pastoring churches has been over the indifference, lack of understanding of the whole Bible, and a seeming unconcern to learn of the Christ Who shall reign with His queen, His Bride, in the age to come.
His burden, then, is not that people would merely gain more knowledge of facts which the head can pick up, but rather they gain an experiential relationship which only a devoted heart can know.
