Although the recipients to the book of "Hebrews" is not clear to many, it is certain that the Book of Hebrews is not written to lost sinners. The writer to the Hebrews assumes they have a knowledge of the Old Testament; a knowledge about God and about a special people. The word 'better' throughout the book suggests that although there were many good things about the law system held among the Jews when Jesus came, there was a "better" way -- which is a walk of faith in Christ. They are therefore admonished to hold true to the faith and to continue steadfast in Christ. (Paperback - 50 pages) |
